So when MAS advertise of their low fare, the morning the advertisement came out, we check the internet and after checking fare and everything, decided that we are going to BKI. How much is our fare ?? MYR 138/person return including tax. that's almost like 20% of original fare. even cheaper than Air Asia.
Now, my bag is pack and i'm ready to go. I'm sure we'll have great fun.

It pays to check MAS before you buy with AirAsia. Furthermore MAS wont cancell their flight due to low load factor but AirAsia will do it for economic reason.
If you are going to Kinabalu Parks you can check some of the homestays around Ranau. They can be quite comfortable and cheap provided you have your own conveyance. Rent a car and share among your group. Visiting Poring Hotspring is a must and remember the same ticket can be used for both the hotspring and the Kinabalu Park so dont throw them away after exiting from either of them.
