Parachuting in Fujairah

Title is so misleading. Mesti you ols thought aku yang ber "parachuting" hahahha. Tak ada la aku ni berani sangat.

Went to Fujairah last Friday. Ingat nak tengok International Parachute Competition coz i know Malaysian team pun ada.

Dah la janji pukul 8.30am berkumpul kat rumah aku. Memandangkan aku ni boleh tahan punctualnya, by 8am dah siap. Zoe n Chan macam robot, 8.30 ngam2 dah ada bawah rumah. Call uncle "Lehman" tengok2 baru nak pi ambik kawan2. emmm..mesti lambat lagi la nih. Sempat la aku buatkan American B/fast for Zoe n Chan while waiting for the rest.. that's show how late they are.

Dah lama tunggu and angin dah naik sampai kepala, aku decided to just jalan saja. Agree to bagi direction to the rest. Masa tu dah 10 + ..mana tak naik angin aku. Aku pi dulu ngan Zoe and Chan.

Tapi lepas tu the rest call cakap dah sampai so we meet up kat simpang Mirdif. Sampai Fujairah close to 12 noon and jumpa Lina and Shakira dekat Al Meshwar (anyway, kat Fujairah ni, rest. ni jer lah yg paling besar and best for lepak).

Found out that info given earlier was wrong. Final jump was on Thursday, the day before and Friday is just the closing ceremony and some shows. Frustnye we ols. Anyway, decided to still check out what's the shows all about. Tunggu from 3pm sampai 4.30pm, nothing happened cuma ada la organizer nampak bz2, and ths Cessna (i think, kalu salah jgn marah ye) buat acrobatic. Last-last balik sajer le..

Conclusionnya, jangan jalan kalu tak check plan betul2. Aku nih dah banyak kali terkena pun still buat jugak. Guess next time, i better plan myself instead of thrusting others..hehehe..

So hari Jumaat tu, best time is lepak at Da Shi Dai lepas balik from Fujairah..we had a good laugh..(laughing at diri sendiri) LOL !!!!

Got msg from Eti..one of my good friend since matric dulu.surprise surprise..and with this hello, i found myself going back to all the memories. We did have lots of fun didn’t we ???

It strange how our mind connected or is it the 6th sense ?? I’ve been thinking of few old frens, incl Eti last few weeks and in fact had tried to google them. Manage to find some and reconnect with them. I did find Eti due to all her impressive achievements in recent years but when i emailed her, there’s no reply. So u can imagine my surprise when she says hello in my blog. Found out that she’s in Germany pursuing her studies and did not get my earlier email.

I always have different set of good friends, kawan masa sekolah, masa kat MRSM, masa kat Matrik, masa in Uni and frens when i started working. There’s some that i’m really close and there’s some that just an acquaintance. Those who are really close have been there all ths years, thru laughters and tears and there’s some who i have not met for years but they always have a special place in my heart.

How strange it is when a used to be cool attractive looking guys that all of us young girls are crazy about doesn’t seems so cool anymore and those things that create huge arguments before seems so petty..that’s what we call growing up. When we don’t judge people, when we are too busy with our life to fix others, when we start thinking to save money instead of spending it and when we not only thinking and planning for future but implementing our plans.

People change when they grow older. I have change. I’m still outgoing carefree person but different in certain way. I see things from different point of view. My lifestyle had change..

So have fun, have a misery, live your life, don’t be afraid to get hurt or to do wrong, to learn.. Go ahead and dare, you will have a fullfilled life with great memories.

And to my dear friend Eti, i'm glad that you contact me. You are one of few frens that i hope someday we would meet again....

Cepatnya masa berlalu and tengok2 ni dah 18th Syawal and i'm flying back to Dubai tonite. Trip kali ni rasa macam pendek saja eventhough actually aku dah 3 weeks in Malaysia... Semua personal things tak dapat buat as per my list..buku ASB tak jumpa sampai sekarang, nak potong rambut tak sempat, nak pi check rumah baru yang 85% siap pun tak sempat and list goes on and on and on..tak apalah another 2 months nak balik dah..Recap back dengan aktivity2 yang membuatkan aku busy...


Department Raya Gathering. Macam biasa, every year kita ada Raya Decoration competition. 1st year kita menang (of course la PM dia kiasu..errr that's me la tu). Last year, baru pindah office so takde mood nak tunjuk creative (sebab management tak approve our actual selection of office location, so konon2 nya macam a kind of protest la tu)..so tak menang, in fact not even in top 3ranking pun hahahha.. This year kalah lagi..kesian deme2 tu .. Tak apa kawan2, next year aku dah balik so i'll be the crazy kiasu woman yang suka menginstruct orang sesuka hati sebab nak menang...hahahaha


Ikut husband ke Kuantan. Dia ada kerja kat sana and as for me melepak sajalah. We stay at Hyatt Saujana, TC. Kuantan ni bukannya ada apa-apa, tapi for a beach lover like me memang sesuai. I can spend whole day do nothing just enjoy the scenery.

Office raya gathering in Westport. Ramainya orang baru yang aku tak kenal..*sigh* itula yang tak best kerja kat oversea office nih, lost track of what's happening kat HQ.

Every year memang Waheeda will join this function to entertain anak2 yatim yang memang kita sponsor. ohhh Waheeda is anak kepada staff kita - En Wahab so memang dia banyak buat show FOC bila melibatkan charity event kami...and FYI, Waheeda ni memang cun giler (ikut mak dia kalo ikut En Wahab sian le dia..hahahaha) and memang nice and sopan santun..pandai en Wahab didik anak.

Ini masa kat rumah Farah and Suzi, lepas beraya in Westport office, kita pi rumah deme2 ni.

Since aku tak sempat nak borak2 dengan colleague kat opis, invite them for lunch yesterday(Jumaat lunch kita 2jam so banyak masa)..Thanks for coming gals..

Lepas they all chow, aku pi renew my international license yang dah nak expire. Then got a call from hubby cakap he had invited his staffs datang rumah malam tu.. Alamakkk aku masak tadi cukup2 je for lunch. and baru je thinking nak rayau kat shopping complex.. what to do, kena la balik rumah masak for guests yang nak datang tu..

Last few days tetiba jadi busy la pulak. Not only busy kerja but busy with aktiviti menghabihkan duit.

But before cerita about shopping, nak eksen, that for the first time in my life, aku berjaya membuat kueh melayu..hahahaha.. and the lucky kueh is of course one of my favourite - cik mek molek. Masa kecik sampai anak dara tak pernah berminat nak balajar buat kueh. masa dok dengan mak, mak ada so buat apa nak belajar..hehehe and masa dok bujang2 dulu, kueh melayu merata, rasa nak makan apa pegi je la cari mana2, pasar malam ke tepi jalan ke mesti ada. Lepas kawin pun sama. Mana ada masa nak buat kueh, balik kerja pun dah malam. weekend selalunya we had late lunch so tak pernah rasa nak buat kueh. Aku cuma pandai buat bubur je sebab senang and cucur udang sebab tu favourite husband..so untuk menjadi isteri yg disayangikan mestila kena pandai buat fav foods dia...hehehe

Now dok kat Dubai ni mana la nak cari kueh-mueh tradisional melayu, so last week sebab rasa nak makan kan so aku pun merajinkan diri untuk buat kueh cik mek tu.. tak tau la sebab kueh tu senang ke or aku ni memang ada bakat memasak semulajadi, it turns out OK, semua cukup so sedap la bagi aku..buat 2 biji sweet potato dapat la 5 keping.. tapi kan aku tensen gak sebab rasanya dah banyak gula aku letak nak suruh air gula jadi kow2 tapi bila dah masak, air gulanya kureng..and i've conclude that it's not my fault tapi gula kat sini halus so x sedap not like our gula kasar kat malaysia yg membuatkan air gula dia meleleh..slurrrpp

Thursday nite, went to Sharja Blue Souq dengan Che'na and Putri. dah lama plan nak pergi and finally berjaya juga kami menjejak kan kaki ke sana. First time for Che'na and I but Putri had been there few times.

Che'na nak beli souvenirs and myself nak cari jubah yg colleagues kirim and tudung Turkey for mom.. Itula mak aku, masa aku pegi Turkey dulu tak cakap nak, tetiba lepas tengok cerita apa ntah dalam tv, suruh aku carikan dia tudung Turkey..


Ini kedai tudung yg first kami masuk. Putri kenal towke kedai, Abdullah nama dia. Aku beli 4 je tudung dia sebab not really my taste tapi terbeli 2 pashmina that i dont really need since aku dah ada like 5 but oklah sebab aku ni memang jenis tak tahan sejuk so all my pashmina memang di fully utilized kan.


Lepas kedai tudung, kami pi kedai souvenir sebab Che'na nak beli souvenirs for her family. kedai ni a bit scary for me sebab penuh dengan ala-ala antiques things, macam kepala monyet la, ular la, some scary look patung and kawasan yg sewaktu dengannya. Che'na tensen sebab towke kedai tak paham.. but memang kelakar tengok depa dok communicate macam itik dengan ayam..but i do understand the frustration..hehehe

Ini depan kedai jubah yang aku beli jubah for my collagues and tudung Turkey for my mom. murah dan cantik. Aku beli banyaks sebab nak bagi for adiks and in-laws


Lepas tu masuk satu lagi kedai souvenir. Ini towke kedai(yg pakai kandura) yg pandai. Dia ada indian assistant yg boleh cakap omputeh. so no comunication breakdown..


Ini highlite of the nite for me. Masa dalam keta dah cakap that aku nak beli emas. Dah lama plan tapi tak beli2 lagipun i'm not really a gold person. Aku cuma ada 2 set jewellery saja tu pun jarang2 pakai cuma wedding ring and bangle saja aku suka pakai. Tapi since Che'na mentioned that her colleagues cakap that ths week harga emas jatuh and depa suruh beli masa ni, so i thought nak survey2 la. masuk first kedai, SA tak layan. Maybe tengok aku macam Kabayan kot ingat aku saja2 tengok2. pastu masa nak kluar gi parking dah, kita tengok rantai yg display cantik2, so masuk le tengok. Towke kedai dia Leena tu service baik punya really friendly eventhough kedai dia dah nak tutup. Sabar je dok melayan kitaorg belek sana belek sini tanya harga.

So lepas fikir like 20 mins, i decided to beli saja. Yay!!..cakap kat Putri and Che'na ni my first jewellery purchase (before this sumer gift from husband) and Putri terus suruh aku bergambar ngan Leena to commemorate ths purchase..lalalala

Balik tu terus call husband sebab tak sabar nak criter pengembaraan menghabihkan duit aku. First kena lecture sebab balik pagi2 buta tapi amazingly dia tak marah aku beli jewellery sebab dia cakap itu investment... dia cakap dari aku menghabihkan duit beli handbag and nonsense2 yg sewaktu dengannya baik la aku habihkan duit beli emas..hahahaha Tapikan Yang, kalu tak pakai kena bayar zakat, sapa yg nak bayar tu ???? and i need a bracelet to match my new chain... *hint hint*

Ohhh yang tak boleh lupa is masa tengah dok pikir2 tu masuk la sorang mak Arab. Dia keluarkan satu box bagi Leena tu. Leena tu pandai cakap Arab so kitaorg tak paham la apa diaorg dok borak, tengok2 masa Leena bukak box tu penuh dengan rantai la gelang la aku rasa senang2 ada like 10-20 urat..wow, terernya mak arab tu bawak dalam box lepas tu letak dalam paper bag macam bawak barang 20ringgit jer.. kita org pon dok pikir, banyak2 macam tu bila dia pakai sumer tu ?? aku ayg ada satu dua ni pun tak terpakai..hmmm

Diving in Similan Island, Thailand

Got ths photo from my diving buddy and a note asking when will i come out from my so call retirement.

Whole day i was looking at the photo. And i can’t deny that i do miss it. But what do i miss? Is it the thrill ? is it the view inside the deep sea ? is it the feeling of loneliness when i’m down there, just me and the ocean and the sea creatures ? or do i miss the companion, my diving buddies ? or is it the laidback life whenever we went to diving trip ???

I have no answer for that as i seriously don’t know..

But 1 thing i do know is that my wet suit definitely wont fit me anymore.. LOL

Malaysian's Bazaar Ramadhan in Dubai

Memang meriah.. that's the word that describe Bazaar Ramadhan in Dubai yesterday. Aku dah cakap kat Lina and Kamarul that kita kena pi awal2. Aku nak beli kueh kelate Kak Neme, takut sampai lambat nanti habih.. yelah yang menjual is only like 12 stalls and yang nak membelinya beratus..figure it out yourself..

We arrived at 3.40 sama dengan orang yang nak menjual...hehehe that shows how "jella" i am. Terus pi beratur depan meja kueh Kak Tipah and Kak Neme. I've got few friends (Kamarul's Go kart supporters) and my best friend Ilyn whose visiting from KL for Iftar at my place. Earlier i had bodek Kamarul to belanja the supporters kueh2 for Iftar today. So memang sedap Lina and me tunjuk2 saja since somebody else is paying..hehehe

I've bought for myself (ini dah cakap kat member2 tak boleh share since i want to indulge it sorang2 hehehe) tepung pelita, buah tanjong, laksa kelate, ketupat sotong and nasi dagang Shiela. OK OK..macam tamak je kan tapi trust me semua beli satu saja so tak banyak tau...husband baca entry ni mesti geleng kepala..

Anyway, macam yang aku expect, all foods finish by 5pm. Kueh kelate and laksa Kak Neme by 4.15 macam tu dah habis. Paling amazing lai chi kang, bukak kedai 5 minit je, semua habis. Tersenyum lebar abang yang menjual tu..

Verdict for foods yang aku beli: semua sedap macam makan kat rumah..yelah yang meniaga ni semuanya professionals and the wives, so aku rasa dia orang menjual is more for fun and tunjuk skills, so tak kedekut dengan bahan mentah unlike orang2 yang meniaga nak buat duit. Of course, semua orang meniaga nak untung but what i meant is they didn't compromise onthe quality and taste of the foods.

Now, Malaysian UAE comittee tengah encourage more sellers for next week Bazaar Ramadhan, yelah kalau macam ni tiap minggu takut nanti semua orang serbu rumah CG pukul 4 sebab takut foods habis. Aku yang balik Malaysia every 2.5 mths pun kemaruk makanan kita lagilah orang2 yang dah lama tak balik kampung...

Next week plan: Nasi Kerabu Mastura, gulai ikan ayo Shiela (ni kena merayu-rayu la bagi beli lauk saja), kueh cara

Merdeka Go-Kart Race in UAE

Kamarul dah cakap dia terrer, tapi aku tak percaya..yele mamat ni kadang2 cakap boleh tahan eksen le jugak..hehehehe

Dah la Khamis tu dia failed driving license test, so boleh ke percaya dia terer main go-kart ???? Tapi sebab dia bestpren aku kat Dubai kan, kena la pi bagi support..nanti merajuk kang, tak nak teman aku shopping la, makan2 la, pi chop pasport la, aku jugak yang susah nanti...kan..kan..kan ??? nanti dah tak tempat aku nak lepas geram dan komplen pasal orang2 kat Dubai ni.

But this time, memang terbukti ketereran dia la..semua dia sapu, time trial, 8 lap sprint event and 14 lap main race, semua dia lead.

Wahh..sejak dok kat Arab ni, taste shopping pun ala-ala minah Arab jugak. Walaupun aku ni telah ditakdirkan untuk menjadi kaki shopping sejak azali lagi, tapi sejak dok sini, makin menjadi-jadi la pulak.

Huh apa ? Shopping ala-ala minah Arab tu macam mana ?? Ohhh shopping ala-ala minah Arab tu macam gambar kat bawah ni..hehehehe


Don't look at me, tengok minah Arab kat belakang tu. Sekali shopping 3 paperbag Gucci dia angkut. Handbag - Dhs 7000, Wallet - Dhs 2300, Kasut - Dhs 1750. Perasaan bahagia dapat perabih duit - PRICELESS..
Minah Arab made in Malaysia - besar sungguh hasil tangkapan mu di Coach itu.. Senyum lebar sebab bahagia berjaya perabih duit..



Emirates Tower Boulevard. Tempat ni berhantu tau. Keluar dari tempat ni, tengok2 duit dah hilang ribu2 punya..

There's about 30-50 high end designers boutique, 1 Starbuck and 3 restaurants. Brand-brand cap Ah Chong tak payah la cari kat sini, memang tak ada. Errr.. Minah Arab made in Malaysia...tak cukup lagi ke hasil tangkapan mu di Coach tu ??? Tengok Gucci macam nak ajer.. nanti kang balik rumah kena lecture dengan MB la pulak kang..

Hasil pendapat sepanjang 3 jam di Emirates Tower Boulevard. 2 Coach, 1 Gucci. Kan aku dah kata tempat tu berhantu..

Tapi..alhamdulillah berkat bacaan jampi2 dari my Darling hubby, aku tidak diganggu oleh hantu2 itu...semoga jampi2 tu, tahan sampai balik raya ni..hehehehe

Borak2 Orang Kampung

Orang kampung(OK) tanya " ehh, kat sana weekend u buat apa?"

My answer " shopping"

OK: " lagi?"

Me: "makan2"

OK: " lagi ? "

Me: "jalan2?"

OK: "Jalan-jalan kat mana?"

Me: " jalan2 shopping..hehehe"

OK: " korang kat sana itu je ke aktivitinye ? shopping, makan, shopping"

Me: "habih ko kat sana banyak ke aktiviti pelik2 ?"

OK: " hehehehe betul la jugak.. tapi kita org ada lepak2, karaoke, tengok wayang, spa, saloon emm apa lagi..banyak la"

Me: " Abih tu lepak2, karaoke tu bukan makan ke ?? wayang, spa, saloon tu pun aktiviti menghabihkan duit jugak.. sama je le..hehehe"

Me: "tapi kat sini, aktiviti lepaknya memerlukan duit yang banyak..hehehe coffee bean/starbuck je dah Dhs 17, wayang Dhs 30. Makan2 average Dhs 50. Diving site ada a few, tapi aku tak pernah plan nak pergi pun, dengar rate per dive terus surrender. baik aku shopping..heheheh *sigh* rasanya aku kena mintak company increase my overseas posting allowance la."

OK: " banyak le company nak increase. boss kan kedekut.."

Me: "hahahaha betul la jugak"

BBQ at Al Mamzar Park

Seperti yg telah dijanjikan, we had BBQ at Mamzar park last Friday. I cooked mihun goreng and bought some ready made caramel puddings from Spinneys. Arrived there almost 6pm. Shila and family had arrived earlier to book the BBQ place. Entry into Al Mamzar Beach Park costs DHS 5 per person and 30 per car. The park gives you access to a beautiful beach with surrounding green park areas for you to relax in.

There's great open space for children to play and there were an abundance of families out for a picnic, there is a children’s play area too, as well as shaded areas for BBQ. Overall memang cantik dan spacious. I like it better than the crowded Jumeirah Beach.

This is last makan-makan activities before Ramadhan. During Ramadhan, will still have makan2 but no more lepakking thereafter (yelah nak terawih kan)

Get together

Friday is the day. By 10am everybody gathered at Putri place..who says Malaysian cannot be punctual.

Before(ladies come first while waiting for guys perform Friday prayer) and after (so pack, total 57 Malaysian adult, some have to eat outside at the table as bersila place is too full)


1 talam of Mandi and 1 talam of big fishes. There's freshly cooked prawn, squid and another type of fish but i forgot to take some photos(too busy eating)


See... this is leftover put at 1 place so the waiter can pack for whoever want to tapau.


Organizes -Hila and Putri.. really feel like kenduri kat kampung.


After lunch, we go jalan2 at Marina Mall and some went to Picasso exhibition in Emirates palace which is just next to Marina Mall. We meet-up for coffee later in the evening at Havana Cafe

On the bakc to Dubai, i told Putri.."aku nyesal la tak tapau"..hehehe in the afternoon eksi since so kenyang by nite regret didnt tapau.. the foods are really delicious. I've been to the restaurant few times but always forgot how good the foods are.

Next Malaysian gathering would be held at Jumeirah Beach, but that would be after Raya. Weather would be nice by then.
